Stroll Along a Treasured Landmark

Much like a scene from a mystery novel, the worn footpath and weathered wooden structures of Dove Jetty hold stories of the past, rich with history and quiet charm.

Officially known as Jelutong Fisherman’s Wharf, Dove Jetty is a humble, makeshift pier built by local fisherfolk to moor boats and store nets, tanks, and fishing equipment. The jetty is believed to have earned its nickname from the nearby Harmony Fly seagull sculpture along Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway.

While its simple wooden structure may not be a conventional tourist attraction, Dove Jetty remains a nostalgic landmark — a tribute to Penang’s fishing heritage and the lives of generations who depended on the sea.

A leisurely stroll here rewards visitors with breathtaking sunrise views over the coastline. Its rustic setting also makes for a striking and atmospheric backdrop for social media photos.
