Seremban Street Art Lane
Where Creativity Transforms Everyday Back Alleys
Hidden within the town centre yet bursting with personality, Seremban Street Art Lane is a lively 250-metre stretch that transforms ordinary back lanes into an open-air art gallery. Spanning Jalan Dato’ Bandar Tunggal, Jalan Yam Tuan, Jalan Tuanku Munawir, and Benteng Walk, this creative enclave brings colour, culture, and conversation into Seremban’s urban landscape.
First established in 2019 and revitalised in November 2021, the lane now features over 30 murals across a wide range of styles and themes. From contemporary pieces to nostalgic scenes, the artworks reflect Seremban’s heritage, values, and modern identity. Six of the murals are legacy works by local artists, adding a genuine homegrown touch.
More than a visual attraction, the street art lane began as an urban revitalisation initiative, designed to reimagine back alleys as welcoming public spaces. By turning previously overlooked areas into vibrant cultural spots, the project challenges negative perceptions about alleyways and graffiti — proving how art can reshape the way people interact with a city.
Something Interesting to Look Out For
Visit during the early morning or late afternoon for the best lighting — ideal for photography and quieter exploration. Keep an eye out for murals that cleverly incorporate doors, staircases, and lamp posts into their designs, creating interactive and imaginative visual effects.
Whether you’re an art lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply curious about Seremban’s creative energy, a stroll through Seremban Street Art Lane offers a refreshingly different way to experience the town beyond its usual landmarks.
